Hoopsmachine is in beta

· 2 min read

Earlier this month I wrote about Hoopsmachine—the basketball news aggregator I spent 14 years trying to build. Today it’s live in beta.

What you get

Real-time basketball news from 100+ sources, intelligently clustered so you see stories, not duplicate links. NBA, WNBA, NCAA, G League, international—all in one place.

If you care about basketball and are tired of bouncing between a dozen tabs, this is for you.

Try it

Head to hoopsmachine.com and poke around.

It’s a beta—things will be rough. That’s the point. I need people using it to figure out what’s working and what isn’t.

Give me feedback

This is the part where I need your help. If something feels off, if clustering is wrong, if a source is missing, if the UI is confusing—I want to hear about it.

You can reach me at hi@hoopsmachine.com, find me on Twitter/X, or follow @hoopsmachine for updates.

No feedback is too small. “This headline is weird” is just as useful as “your clustering algorithm is broken.”

What’s next

The beta is just the starting point. There’s a long list of features I want to build, but right now the priority is making the core experience solid. Your feedback determines what gets built next.
